Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism

Lakehead University’s Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism (ORPT) program is the only one of its kind in Canada.  Offering several double degree options as well as a Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, ORPT is unique in that it integrates both theoretical and applied perspectives and covers a breadth of subject areas including outdoor leadership, nature-based tourism, protected areas management, and therapeutic recreation.

If you weren't able to make it to our live information session in April, we've uploaded the recording of last year's webinar, which covers many of our most frequently asked questions about Lakehead University's School of Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism below.

We are located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where there is an incredible range of opportunities for outdoor recreation, superb nature-based tourism, and world-class protected areas.
